Academics, civil society members, policy makers and company representatives were invited to discuss to what extend the governance of the DRC 's natural resources contributes to either the reconstruction of the country or the opposite. The participants stated the current state of affairs and what measures need to be taken in order for resources to contribute to sustainable peace and development. This resulted in a list of recommendations to amongst others, the Congolese government, the international community, companies and civil society in both north and south. |
